Biography

Taiwanese pianist Pin-Shiuan Lin, born in 2000, began her musical education at the age of five with Hsiu-Shan Liao and later continued her studies with Professor Chin-Chuan Chang. At fifteen, she gave her first solo recital, and the following year she was admitted to the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover (HMTMH), where she has since been studying with Professor Alexander Schimpf. She is currently pursuing the Soloklasse program (Konzertexamen), the highest artistic diploma awarded by the institution.

From an early age, Pin-Shiuan was a prizewinner at numerous piano competitions in Taiwan and gained international recognition when she won Second Prize at the international piano competition “Young Piano Stars” in Königs Wusterhausen, Germany—already during her first year of studies abroad. In 2025, she was awarded Second Prize at the Orbetello International Piano Competition in Italy.

Through her participation in international masterclasses, she has worked with renowned pianists such as Nelson Delle-Vigne, Andrea Lucchesini, Michel Béroff, Imogen Cooper, Bertrand Chamayou and Wolfgang Manz.

In the winter of 2024, as part of an Erasmus exchange program, Pin-Shiuan began her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), where she was taught by Professor Florent Boffard. In the summer of 2025, she continued her studies with Professor Laurent Cabasso at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon (CNSMDL).
